Buddy of mine in Canada had a former John Hill Burgess. That hull lasted forever. No dry rot or deck panel split.

F1-V8 racing in Casale Monferrato, Italy 1983.
The #15 Castrol boat next to me (8) is Allan Nimmo in Renato’s former titanium boat.
This was my first year in the F1-V8 series and the second race.
The first one was Como, Second race in Ampolla, Spain was cancelled..so this race was my second race of 1983.
Fabrizio Bocca's dad was one of the race organizers.
(A pretty good river race in the deep woods of Italy)

Wow.........I didn't know the Bud Davie project started with a Furnal hydro? The record was eventually set with a Karelsen hull. Furnal built some wicked fast F1 tunnels too.

Was that boat originally from the Molinari / Mercury team fleet? The color scheme sure looks like the boat in a photo from Mercury's catalog when they introduced the T3?
