    Bill Grannis
    There were 2 differently machined engine blocks for the X and GT-115s.
    Most of the production 115s had only the center 2 exhaust ports squared off at the top. Some others had all 4 exhaust ports in each cylinder squared off and were a lot more powerful. OMC made sure certain drivers got the 4-squared engine blocks as they were a few mph faster.

    The very first ones were handbuilt and modified 100 hp V4's that were sent to the Paris 6 hour race back in 1966 if I remember right.

    They also had some thin reeds, .020 over 2 ring (high mount pressure back) pistons and 125 style swoopy inner exhaust plate. Probably more I don't know about. Good times , the parts were cheap and if you could get a hold of Jack Leek he would let you pick his brain.
