Took the boat to Doug Wrights shop for a survey this morning. Jr surveyed the damage and put together a repair plan. Then dropped the boat at Nick's for derigging. It will go back to Doug's on Saturday. While I was amazed(as was Doug) at the damage, what really stood out was that the cockpit and roll cage sustained no damage. I am now firmly convinced that the way Doug builds his boats saved their lives and they are with us today because of his engineering and craft man ship. He truly builds a quality product. It also gave me a moment to reflect on all of my friends in the boating community. I just want to tell you guys, please check your life jackets and safety equipment. These guys were in a crash where it felt like they got kicked in the chest by a mule and instantly in dark cold water reaching for their oxygen regulators. It was a brutal, instant reminder that the worst of our fears can become reality in a nano second. Take care of yourselves and each other. We aren't guaranteed our next breath in this life.......Warmest Regards, Dave

Thanks! I was at the race with a couple of those "car motor boat" guys and they just couldn't appreciate the awesomeness of that boat.

The Double points Race was hard to pass up !! Truly a stealth operation !! It’s getting closer to being dialed in but it’s getting there !!! It was a Herculean effort to get this repaired and to the races !! Scott and Nick are extremely pleased with how it runs. Clearwater should be a blast !!!
