You are subjecting your work to the ultimate proving grounds for sure. The last thing that you are thinking of in that canopy is letting off!! Its only a matter of time before you will become a fixture at each race with a mobile fab shop for Saturday night emergencies. Its pretty amazing to see some the repairs that take place throughout the week in Key West (mostly on a dirt parking lot with a pop up tents and flash lights).

Any durability doubts put to rest when it stands up to that abuse.

Looking at a modern Top Fuel team , I see one old *&^%$#%^ that knows no other life and a half a dozen spike hair , full sleeved twenty somethings that all run around like they just chased their 5 hr energy with a Monster double whammy drink ...
Having lived the gipsy life for a while , I have went 180* and fallen prey to the air conditioned , cable TV , stocked fridge , shop .
I guess I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up ...
Chaz = rememberin back in the 70's when everybody wanted to get a bottom floor motel room during bike week in Daytona ... great place for a rebuild ..

Yes sir it's cut just in front of the little triangle steering stop guy and then put in a lathe and turned until there is a nice radius across the front .
Every little bit adds up . I never weighed the front tab , but it's an easy 3 - 4 lbs each .
If nothing else , I think they look better that way ...

Cockpit coming together very nicely !!! Left hand steering will help with the left hand turns and left hand throttleman !!! Nick has certainly been cranking away on getting this ready for Sarasota !!!

The stock Merc 300XS powerheads are what we run, but we can modify the mids. This eventually will be the setup after some more testing !! Sarasota might be a seatrial and a race all in one !! Sorry about the sideways pic !! I don't have a clue why it loaded like that !!
