ID:	377041So I recently sold my 90mph 16' concept speed boat (action copy). It wasn't a easy decision but its ok, I was given a 18.5' Seaswirl cuddy cabin, I know its not a Performance boat but its in great shape for how old it is. It sat in a steel building in Colorado for 20 years before it was brought to me. It currently has a 150 evinrude XP on it, Im gonna swap it out with the 3.0 225 Johnson from the concept, with a LWP and jackplate. Ill be able to run the motor high so im hoping performance will still be good for what it is. The transom is solid as is the rest of the boat. The boat has a pad on the bottom, reverse chines all the way back, sharp V in the entry, and 2 sets of lifting strakes. Anyone out there that can estimate performance numbers? Online it says it weighed 2350# dry when new. Ive lightened a little by removing the upholstery in it. Long term plans are to add a bracket and delete most of the motor well, at least enough to make the back wall straight so I can have seating all the way across the back. There will still be a small motor well in the back, but only about 8". online again I put the weight and HP into a calculator and it said top speed aprox 68mph. I would be really happy if that were true. I have a 26 pitch merc chopper and a 29 srx to try.

The raw glass will be cleaned up and gelcoated, it had carpet and wood shelfs under the gunnel. seats are removed to inspect under the hatch, its clean and no rot. Pic of upholstery is what I ripped out, the rear seat cushions are trash, they are only covering holes behind them. Cabin is clean, and all the wood is dry and will be sealed up to prolong what life is left.

I would say 60's is not out of the question. Full tank of fuel, with people, 50's. Empty and just you, low 60's.

no pics at the moment, but i just got back from running the seaswirl with the 3.0 Johnson 225 with some work done on a jackplate. Its turning a 22 pitch lab finished merc big ear chopper at 5500 rpm. Not sure of the exact speed because im waiting on a new gps antenna for the speedo (i hope thats whats wrong). But I did run with 2 skis, one that does 50 mph that i walked away from and the other said i was doing 60+++. Stable as a rock, no chine walk, and the motor could go even higher. the whole bullet is in the water at the moment. Not to bad for a 1989 seaswirl sierra cuddy classic. My uncle gonna be proud.

XtremeVking was pretty close. Almost full tank of fuel wife and kids ran 55 mph. I was by myself and only half tank yesterday. So top end is prob 60. Still turning 5500 rpm. Have to trim it up to get the rpm. Motor could prob go higher than even possible on this transom. But I'm happy for now. Ill raise it the extra inch one day.
