New around here but have been riding motorcycles all my life as many of you have. I ride off road or street track only. Not interested in riding around car and truck traffic. SKEERED. Some past rides. 77 CB400 Super Sport, 98 Suz TL1000S, 03 Honda RC51 (traded for a Duc Hypermotard then sold the Duc). Suz RM80, RM125, couple RM250's. 03 KTM 525SX for awhile when I was younger and stronger. Current rides are an 06 RM250 and 2000 Aprilia RSV1000R (Mille R) and a non running 76 CB360 twin. Gratuitous shot from a track day earlier this year. https://apexprophoto.smugmug.com/PRE...11/i-n443bzR/A. Do about 5 track days a year. For any of you who like to ride but aren't keen on traffic, give it a shot. It's really a great way to to have fun on a street bike. Still ride the RM250 some but I've given up on MX tracks. The jumps kept getting bigger and steeper and I kept getting older. So I just go to some off road parks and trail ride or layout a track in an open area and rip around. Happy riding.

Just a little old Honda CB750 that I built, 3 times now. So far, this is the longest its been like this without undergoing any kind of change or new look. This was before its bath so its a little dirty here. The joys of living in the country.

Yes, me too. 69 or 70 when they came out. The CB 750 was a single overhead cam motor then. Had a friend that had one, fun bike to ride. Then the Kawasaki Z1 came out in 73. It was the baddest one then. I bought a new 75 Z1b in 75. Great bike.

Now, these days those old bikes are really slow compared to the rockets sold now... But are still cool. I wish I had my ole Z back.

Came out 69. I had just got out of Nam and at Ft Sill, OK. One came by and sounded like a damn jet! Later friend mine had a new Kaw Z1 900. DAMN, rode it many times and what a beast! Last jap bike I had was a CBR1000F. Sold it before ended up in jail!

The CB750 came out in 69 and was a SOHC then in 1979 it went to a DOHC. Mine is a early 79 DOHC (well, the motor is anyways). And as luck would have it, I blew it up last week. Motor locked up tight on me. Rebuild time this winter. 823 big bore kit im thinking.

On Jap frames long ago? Friend had a inline frame (Avon?) he gave me. Another had a 6 foot girder gave me. Cut down the fork, cut ass end off the frame, and stuffed a Sporty motor in it, jack shafted to a fat rear BEFORE the loud mouths on the tube even thought of it! Lotta work, fun build!

The Amon Savior frame was the plunger rear suspension, mine is just an AMON hard tail frame that was originally set up for a SOHC motor that I modified to fit a DOHC in it.

I figured out my locked up motor issue. Looks like the oil filter housing gasket sprung a leak and on the very bottom and was pumping oil out while I was riding. I will installing an oil pressure gauge for sure when I rebuild it. Im ok with having to rebuild it anyways as it was tired and wore out when I got it running and had a little blow by and been getting worse over the past 4-5 years and been getting down on power a little. Just didnt want it to be under these circumstances though. lol

I myself like just about anything on 2 wheels but im a HD chopper guy at heart but I also have a soft spot for old school jap choppers too. I have owned them all and this bike has to be one of the funnest bikes I have built in a long time and certainly gets a lot of looks and compliments. Very bare bones and not much to go wrong. Motor, headlight, and taillight. No mirrors, no blinkers, not even a brake light. haha

DAMN! My kinda guy! Love to shop BS with ya as you remember them great old days! Had in the late 60's T110, and my buddy had a BSA Hornet. (Remember "snuff or nots" open pipes? Close when in town" HA!)
On frames? I'm clueless just what frame I had doing the dragbike. Look at the pic. Like a "goose neck" to the head and a cut out gusset on the front tubes. I spent time in Nam, and when back got a 305 Honda Scrambler "muff off, Snuffers on!" Bunch us vets rented a house, and built bikes basement. Friend mine had a BSA, and bought a Pauhgo frame and total show bike road worthy when done. But the chromer had **** house stuff the chrome. Well, first time it looked perfect, ran fine (no front brake) and he CHROMED THE INSIDE the rear drum! And I took his 6 over forks and adapted it to the 305. Yep worked! Remember "Franks Forks? Bought 6 over tubes when had a 650 Yamaha. Damn, been a great time to simple LIVE! Started something 2 wheels with a motor at 5, now closing in on 68. I colld not even remember all the bikes had, or rode.
The dragbike is pickled and garage art, as my 79 HD FXS. Motor been out, bored stroked S+S guts, many mods. Still a beast. Friend mine bought a new 107 Texas Chopper, and a punch off? Had trouble catching me! Pic my old Shovel, and me and Tommy on a toy run here.

Whoops! Me and Tommy. But sad remembering him. My age, a Bucket truck power line worker (went out the WORST weather to get power back, and one hell of a humble nice guy), and planned to retire at 62. Never made it. Got hit Pancreatic Cancer and in 5 weeks just short his 62nd? Passed on. RIP Tommy...miss ya buddy.
