1982 Skater 18 (project hull on trailer)
I have been saving this boat for a future project but, I have to realize I have too much on my plate and I see no time in the near future to jump into another project. The hull has seastar hydraulic steering but no motor controls. I only have two of the original seats. The hull in in pretty good shape and the transom seems to be ROCK solid. I was going to cut the top off and build a flat deck and have a go fast flats boat but I never got around to it. I have a clear title and the hull sits on a nice aluminum trailer.
This is the stepped hull with center pod.

Will upload pictures a little later.Last edited by Mhall222; 05-04-2017 at 07:00 PM.

I am going to make it nice again. I had an 81' 18 new when I was a kid (got really lucky-my dad took it on a trade deal). Ours had a 235 Johnson and ran a best of 81 on "radar". My son is now 13 and I figure that this is another learning tool for him instead of going to directly to an STV from his 15' whaler. I will most likely put a 225 promax or a 225XS on it. I have some of my best memories in that boat "I walked like I was 6 feet tall-but I did respect it and my dads rules as well". He had more eyes watching me then a private investigator and knew every time that I was out on the lake no matter where he was at the time. There were no passengers allowed unless he was with us. (the older I get, the smarter he was).

I told my fiberglass guy about this boat and that I wanted show it to him on Friday. He replied "you don't have a lick of f***in sense", and I spend a fair bit of money with him LOL... I guess when you get to know your customers well enough the truth comes out...
