    Oil pump drive gear

On a 2.5 200 hp that I'm going to premix can I eliminate the oil pump friar gear from crank? Or do I still need it on the crank?

Leave it on crank to take up space to keep correct ccs in crankcase. Make sure to use block off plug to hold bushing in place.

Or you can remove bushing and fill in hole, oil pump void, pump mounting hole, and fill in crankcase where gear goes with epoxy. But thats another topic and a lot of work

oil gear void fill-in done with aluminox, along with milling the front half .050,really helps crankcase pressure,"snappy"off idleClick image for larger version.
