Air Force has ParaRescue, a spec ops group that rescues downed pilots and crew. I believe they do other things like recon+ if needed.

    https://www.pararescue.com/

    Mission

To rescue, recover, and return American or Allied forces in times of danger or extreme duress. Whether shot down or isolated behind enemy lines; surrounded, engaged, wounded, or captured by the enemy; PJs will do whatever required to deny the enemy a victory and bring our warriors home to fight another day.

    Capabilities

The qualifications and capabilities of Pararescue teams are extensive: all PJs are qualified experts in Advanced Weapons and Small Unit Tactics, Airborne and Military Free Fall, Combat Divers, High Angle/Confined Space Rescue operations, Small Boat/Vehicle Craft utilization, Rescue Swimmers, and Battlefield Trauma/Paramedics.

That picture is actually very real. I read the article about it from the photographer. Because pictures have zero depth perception, it looks like the casing is coming out the end of the barrel but its really not shat so ever. A normal gas system will eject the casing out and to the rear but when a gas system is over gassed, as in this situation here, they will actually eject the casing out and forward. I know this from first hand experience. The photographer just happened to get perfect timing of the picture. He also posted a ton of other pictures from that day and other with the casing ejecting forward. It was actually from a military training expo thing. But no, this photo is not photoshopped at all.

I wasn't attacking you Robby. Or trying to shame you. I honestly though you and others might have not been aware of the ParaRescue guys. Nothing more than that. I meant no offense to you or anyone else.
I know I wasn't aware of them until I saw a show on TV that had a a ParaRescue soldier in it.

Like my custom ARs, that one looks like it has a shell deflector. Mine throw the brass forward too.
