I have a Swift VSII I have been doing load development on. Bought some solid copper bullets that might stand up a bit better. It was holding dime size groups at 200yds consistently. I figure a head or neck shot should do it.

Also bought a .270 Sendero a while back. I need to re-scope it before I start working on my loads. It is the blued and weighs probably 40 pounds! LOL.

VSII. 30mm tube 6X25 if I remember right. It has a bad ass Leopold on it. Trying to decide if I want a front focal plane or not on the .270.

    The Swift.

LOL! 300 is for African game. Tone it down & go with the 270 Weatherby for North American game. Batting 1000 since 1993 with mine. RR

Same reason my Savage 111F in 7mm Rem. Mag stays at home. My Ruger .270, Marlin 30-30 or Browning A5 lite 12 ga. are fine for VA whitetails. The 7mm only comes out for the occasional bear that gets interested in our horse.

By the way Will, just poking you, 300 is excellent long range cartridge, maybe Roy's best round. Recoil is a little much for most though. Congrats on the buck. RR
