Screaming Eagle Boats New Edge 22 Cat

Here are some updates on this project.

The original stands we use for bracing and supporting boats was not to my liking for this project, so we built 4 brand new stands that we will be able to level up, weld to for support and assist in the widening process.

There are only 3 under the boat right now, but a 4th one is there just in case we need it.

Originally we were discussing widening the boat 6-8 inches, but after figuring up the lift in the hull and cubic inches of the hull, more than likely we will be closer to 12" wider.

The hull will be cut in half, widened and re-assembled. We will then cut in front of the first step of the boat in half from port side to starboard side and add the extra 12" of length in that area, moving the front bucket seats forward 12".

Will post more progress pictures as we work on it. There is a lot of work in here to write about for anyone interested in seeing these projects unfold. Thank you, Todd

Keeping at 102 to the outsides would be smart for transporting. You might have a small boat game changer on your hands with this one man-very excited to hear the results.

Ok, so here are some pictures of the boat cut in half in the jig. We still have a lot of leveling up to do, but this is a rough fit. The boat will be 101" to 102" wide. The boat is currently 20' 11'' long and it will be lengthened to at least 22 feet, so it is shootout legal and a true 22. The tunnel will be 56.5" wide. We are widening it 14.5". Don't mind the crazy sawzall cut down the center, we will clean and straighten that up now it is apart. Will post more as it progresses. Thanks Todd

Well you know it is hard work. I have split a few, never as big as a 40'. I'll bet that was a nightmare.
