02 2.6 200HP HPDI plug readings

My new to me yamaha fouled 2 plugs that looked completely black and the other 4 looked very lean? I added a strong dose of ring free and was wondering if that could have an effect on the plug color? It ran great through 20 gallons of fuel while taking it easy, but when I opened it up for a top speed run it started slowing down with the fouled plugs. I've never fouled a plug while running over 5k rpm's on any other outboard before? The boat came with yamalube and wow that stuff is dirty! Should I use pennzoil XLF or a full synthetic in this thing? I have a bad feeling about this motor already so I'm in the process of saving up for a Mercury EFI or Opti 250hp.

The fouled plugs were the top right and middle right. Wouldn't a bad pump diaphragm flood out the lower cylinders? I hope the high pressure crap is working properly.
