Haha fair enough! Even tho I have visable flow at the top of both heads with the t stats restrictor covers removed, you think I should still remove the heads and diverter plate?

I've blown through all the hoses, they're clear, with the covers off I can flick the hose on and see water flowing to the top of the heads, it's almost like there's not enough pressure to blow past the restrictors into the dumps.. or all the water is flowing past and down.. by passing the restrictors, maybe I should take the restrictors out and see if it'll flow out the dumps then..?

Or just bite the bullet and pull heads and exhaust plate... it's weird I can run the motor with the hose shoved up the water tube and the heads are cold to the touch so water is flowing through the passages...

remember, I am no expert. I thought I read somewhere that your water can be dumping into the midsection area and it makes it appear that you don't have water coming out the dumps. Maybe your mid and 1 piece was worked on so more water was dumping in the exhaust inside of the midsection other than out the dump tubes.
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

Your going to need to pull the power head.Your dumping to much water out the bottom of the plate. Is this a salt water plate? Some of them the dump holes are ate out,it don't take much of a bigger hole to lose a lot of water.Could also have a bad gasket.

Never ran in salt... you should see this motor... it actually looks like it just came off the assembly line, a extremely reputable guy sold it to me and said it was a reman motor, not a lick of corrosion or even oil/grease for that matter...

I've been working in the marine industry for over 12 years by the ocean, I've seen my fair share of crusty salty motors and I can honestly say this motor has not been near the salt haha

Haha fair enough, I'm gonna **** with it a bit more before I start pulling the power head, exhaust plate and heads, seen a few YouTube videos of 260's running on the hose and they're not pumping water through the dumps too..that's why I thought maybe it was just the nature of the beast...
