    How to shift

I will be taking the engine out of my 2008 Chevy Suburban. How can I put this in neutral to move the truck around after the engine is out?

would I be able to put the column in park to remove the key then put the key back in later and shift back to nuetral to hoo tranny back up? I know these are dumb questions, but I never worked on one with a shift lock-out.

With the battery disconnected on this vehicle, the shift lock-out is inactive, so you don't need to unhook the cable at the tranny. Just put the key in, turn it on and shift.
