Well, rods and mains look new, bore of that lifter has a scratch in it probably from me pulling the lifter out, It looks ok otherwise so maybe smooth it out with a quick couple passes with a ball hone will do it. Found five push rods and rockers that need replacement, going to replace the bypass valve in the oil pan and a new timing chain tensioner.

This is pretty cool, I filled the oil pump, put it on, put the pan and timing cover on, rolled the engine by hand about 20 revolutions and it filled the oil filter and started pouring out the lifter bores. I'll put the starter on it and spin it good once the lifters and heads are on. Lifters are soaking in oil over night.

BTW, when I sent the heads out, it turned out one of the valves were slightly bent on an AFM cylinder. Obviously an AFM lifter locked at one point..................

Right on!Now that it's done, why in heck didn't you take the hood off and pull it up and out instead of all that AC mess, your shoulder? I get that.

With the front of the truck apart, it was very easy to unhook / hookup everything... nice access and removing the front was not very hard, just a couple hours work round trip. Shoulder appreciated it.

Driving it around last night and the oil pressure gauge pegs out for a few minutes then drops to zero. Engine not making noise, so did basic checks and drove it home. Put scan tool on, shows open circuit. Check the connection, good...... $59 at Advance for a new sender and all is good.
