99 OPTIMAX FUEL COOLER BYPASS? vst pump wrong?

I posted here earlier with a problem on a 200. well i come across a good deal and swapped motors. The mechanic i bought from said that the extra fuel line was from a cooler in the 99 optimax 225. Well i believed him got motor home started trying to sort how to run it back to the fuel tank being i have duel tanks and ouch it hit me i never seen a return line to a tank on any boat. Well seems i was right yes its a fuel return from the fuel cooler and should go to the fuel pump. I start looking for a fitting or block plug and then the bad hit me. Its got a 135 hp vst pump on it Family number ym9xmo2.52c0 . no ideas where to go i'm on a very limited income from va. got less then 20 days before my son starts his finale year and has already locked in a scholarship to fish college. Will this pump work and can i by pass the cooler or do i need to try and find a different system. It run great on stand and has less then 80 hours on motor new not rebuilt compression is 103/107 across all

It does not return to the tank.

I had one rot out. I used a piece of hose to replace the water side and a small piece of hose replace the fuel side. 12 inch max per side. No need to go back to the tank.

ok i will see about putting a t in on the main fuel line side of pump or maybe someone will clarify where to run it or pump just wont work'

I cant find any good info on bypassing the fuel cooler or if the pump will work correctly once its in the water
