When the guy felt the head temp it must have been running dry , he seems to pull his hand back fast from the heat.

So the performance will increase and the displacements in some will come down. Direct injected high rev cammer V8s could be seen.

Oh man if they would do that!!!

I'm about to build a Vortec 350 engine for my truck. I was going to assy. and install back in Oct. but lucky I discovered I bought the wrong pistons. Don't know why I bought the ones I did but they would only give me 8.7:1. Bad thing is I already had the rotating assy. balanced. Now I've found the piston that will give me 9.5:1 but man if they would make 97 octane I could jump the comp. even higher. More torque, more MPG!

I think it is a cutoff (on) for the igniter. On at idle-off above 1/4 throttle.

I think you're right, they didn't use glow batteries to start it, the wires go to the glow plugs.

I have one of these motor's brand new, never used. Have it in my display, but changing my display around and this motor is for sale. They were built around 2004, 2005. and make around 16hp @ 14,000rpm. and not many made either, around 10 made. Would look great in a display, or in a big v bottom.Click image for larger version.
