    Not seeing it?

Was just reading an article about someone working on variable compression for car motors.
Said the are close to getting it high enough to cause ignition.
    As in, run like diesel.

Also read they now have the technology to start one w/o a starter.
ECU senses which cylinder is closest to TDC, open that injector, then fire that plug.

What a job that would be, working on s project like that for a company with big $$$.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Read an article a while back that we may see 97 octane or better in the near years to come. OEM to achieve mileage and emission standards will be and are already increasing compression ratios to 14.5:1 Mazda I believe and more with direct injection. So the performance will increase and the displacements in some will come down. Direct injected high rev cammer V8s could be seen.

Maybe for an electric water pump at idle......

Its water cooled, but in the conventional way, while its moving- rudder pickup -ect. , all those lines you see in the video appear to be fuel related unless I'm blind,
    And thats possible
So what the F- does that switch do ?

No idea but seems to have something to do with idle.

The black hoses going into the sides are the water hoses.
