Moving to FLA and looking for work in the boating industry

    Hi Everyone,

Well... at 50 years old and a lifetime owning my own businesses since I turned 19, I am finally trying to wind down and reduce stress in my life. I am currently going through a nasty divorce after over 22 years marriage and decided to chase my dreams and enjoy my new found freedom by doing something I have talked about but never done my whole life.

I am moving to FLA (Daytona, Port Orange area) in early January 2017. I will be there 12-29 to 1-4 or so then move back shortly afterword. I plan to do as much boating as I can.

    Background on me.
I got my first boat at age 8 and have never owned myself (not counting family) less than one boat at a time since. I have owned and driven a LOT of boats over 40 years without a single accident or incident. I love boats, I know a great deal about boats (as anyone, I could always learn more and seek more knowledge) I would love to find a good job in the boating industry from sales, to demoing boats to potential customers, to light mechanic work, to hull manufacturing to boat delivery and orientation. Anything and everything relating to boats, I am interested in.

    Work background.
I have extensive sales, marketing, image control and branding experience. I have extensive Internet sales, marketing and image control experience. I have founded and sold 4 businesses since I was 19 and I am a highly motivated self starter take the ball and run with it kind of guy. I have many business contacts in design, machining, marketing, injection molding, mold design, Lithium-Polymer battery technology and charging and computer networking, programming, design, high end router programming, tunneling, point to point office links, voice over IP telephony through tunnels and VPN's and many IT related disciplines. I have pretty much done it all from Wall Street specialist firm to founding and growing HeliFreak.com the #1 Radio Controlled Helicopter site in the world from nothing more than an idea to installing Novell networks for Moovies Videos. (Bought by Block Buster years ago) I have owned and run my own small time Internet Service Provider and Hosting Company for 17 years as well. I can do pretty much anything when it comes to IT and I do not let technology, hardware or software ever beat me, I just figure out a way to make it happen.

I can do whatever I put my mind to and I am looking for a job to make this move easy on myself and my family. I plan to bring a boat with me because I have lived in FLA without a local boat and it was not fun. I would really appreciate one of you guys giving me a chance or talking to your contacts to help me find something.

Thank you for considering me for a position. I am not afraid to do anything including sweep floors, drive, change oil, clean out boats, whatever it takes, and I am great at sales as long as I believe in your product(s). If you think you can build/sustain a site like HeliFreak.com or even S&F and not be a good salesman you would be hard pressed to do it successfully. I thrive on a great challenge.

I am an honest man, brutally honest and I am not and have never been a thief. I am trustworthy and loyal. There are multiple people on this site who can vouch for my honesty and loyalty. There are also many people here who are members of HeliFreak.com and know me for the last 16 years on HF who can vouch for me.

Merry Christmas everyone and if you can it would make my year to find a job and know I had some income coming in when I make this move. I would be happy to interview by phone or in person in FLA as soon as possible. Please PM me for my contact info. What would be even better is if this job turns into a career! That would be great Thank you in advance!!

    Will James

Did you ever make the big move?
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.
