Dumas hydro
Hoping for help,
got a hydro with glow plug.
just a pain to getting her to run.
thinking of putting in a gas power with pull start.
what would I need as motor?
What mods would I need to do?
do I need to reprop?
thanks for your time

Have you thought about going electric? I am in the same boat you are in. Built Miss Circus Circus years ago and put in a Picco 80. Haven't ever been able to get it to run right.

I haven't really looked into switching to electric yet, but I think guys have done it with heavy hydros. Sure would be nice and easy to run. I have another boat, Dumas Deep V 60 and it has a K&B 67. It runs great, can start it with one hand toss it in the water and away it goes. One thing with the glow motors, you have to run them richer than crap, otherwise they will die as soon as you toss it in the water. My problem is I can't even get the Picco to run. What motor/boat combo do you have?
