Wiki - Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a branch of fluid mechanics that uses numerical analysis and algorithms to solve and analyze problems that involve fluid flows. Computers are used to perform the calculations required to simulate the interaction of liquids and gases with surfaces defined by boundary conditions.

Just an example of the testing we do to produce the most efficient high performance powerboats. First render is essentially a digital wind tunnel showing particle behavior around the hull. Second shows friction from the air coming in contact with the hull as it moves around it. The third shows air speed and indicates a slower speed against the hull as expected due to the surface friction. Testing like this has helped us create and continue to improve our designs. Our hull has ~85% of the surface area of our competitors. Reducing surface area, reduces drag, increases performance

What did it end up weighing? I would expect the C.G. to be 4 feet closer to the transom from where it is now with complete rigging. I hope its light enough for them to be able to place weight as needed but I bet it will be close. The boat sure looks good. Maybe Chris will do the single strap with it rigged to show everyone how close it is to the step.

Is that minimum weight when you guys pull out Ryan? That's really light, especially now that you guys are running the XS powerheads that weigh 100#s more apiece than the 2.5s. Does your boat get down to the minimum with the XS powerheads on it?

My 30' Can weigh less with it's narrower tunnel. I agree that with the XS power now the weights should be raised across the board 250#
