    Bam,

I think you are right about the demand for O/B cats coming on strong again. Everything is supply and demand in this world. When I sold my 94' (in 98') I let it go for 65K-could have held on to it for free at this point. GLWS

Bam and joe you are totally spot on especially when it comes to clean ob Skater's that need nothing ,
And The owners are very meticulous on what they do to them , how they're taken care of !
Just like an old muscle car they seem to keep going up in price and holding value

What's truly amazing is how Peter's brand continues to hold its value and among all the issues it is still one of the best performing 28's ever built and one of the most sought after boats today. Cannot wait to start rigging one of the first of many new 28' Skaters coming!
Might be the fastest 28 yet! Click image for larger version.

This new build will prove my point

other than a new hull all the rest will be the same.

and it will cost more than twice as much

    same speeds
    same reliabilty
    same capability
    same fun factor
    same comfort
    same dock appeal

but the serial number will be 17 instead of 94

unless of course this is th widened 28 with 400s

then it will be faster and better but will cost 3 times as much

I do not disagree with you regarding the tank issues. Not making excuses but it is what it is. With that being said being in the marine business other builders all have had there issues too. Maybe not tanks but plenty of other failures regarding fiberglass too. But when it comes to resale value nothing comes close to a Skater period......

    Tom,
I love when people comment like experts and they have no idea what they are talking about! Especially if they never owned all three different models like you. We also have have proven the 28 is faster than a 24 back in the day and in anything other than IDEAL PERFECT CONDITIONS not even close in real world water.
Not trying to bash anyone just saying leave the facts to the guys that have been there and done that. However that does not mean you or I know what we are doing LOL!!!!!!

What did you find to replace it with? One of the nicest 28's that I have seen.
