    Hi!

I have owned it for 20 years and it will hurt to sell it... Too much money and affection in to it... And in fact I will have 4 boats with the SV27

Here is mine. It's the closed canopy 27 SVR. We race in the V2 UIM World Championship series.

Thanks for the post bep. Boat looks fantastic. Any initial feedback from the factory on how the 27s are doing with the new 300R motor?

Looks like bep's canopy boat with the 300XS runs around the high 70s from a video that I watched. They were racing and I don't know if the class is speed limited though. This is the one that I would like to know more about...

The one with the 300R was tested for the first time this weekend and was tested side by side with an identical boat with a 300XS. The one with the 300R had a 28" bravo xs while the one with the 300XS had a 28.5" bravo xs. To be honest, they were neck and neck most of the time, both with 2 people on board at around 81-82 mph , but the 300R needed a stiffer pitch prop for sure. On the same boat, the 300R can turn a stiffer pitched prop compared to the 300 XS. Then they tried the 28.5" bravo xs on the 300R and hit 83.8 mph on the limiter with just 1 person on board. I think the 300R should be a couple mph faster then the XS. Further testing to come. Next year will be a transition period in our V2 championship were we can race either with the 300XS or 300R, then by 2021 season, all Race boats will be equipped with the 300R.

In the summer heat, the 300XS race boats can sometimes touch 80mph when with a good top end propeller. In the colder winter, they will do 82 mph. Best speed I personally with mine was 83 mph with 2 people on board and fuel for a total weight of 3700 lbs.

    Hi!

The 300R use the bigger lower unit so the engine prefer a 5 bl prop such as Max5. I gained 4-5 mph with a Max5 over a REV4. A Bravo on the 400R did not work out well on my boat. The main point is to get the bigger lower unit as far up as possible.

The red twin is for sale. Its the boat builders boat.

It seems the the lower unit of the 300R is not the same as the 400R. The skeg is different for sure. There is a 27 running a 400R in fact, and with the 400R, if you don't jack up the motor really high, the boat wont do 80 mph. With the 300R, jackplate height is the same as the 300XS for best speeds.

    Hi!

Interesting. The boat bulider told me that they get 88 mph with a Bravo prop. But has experinced steering issues. I run the propshaft 2 inches above the bottom. If you run even you loose many mph. I pick up 3 mph from 1,5 above to 2 above. And still getting less than 7% slip.

    cheers Toffen

There is also the wight difference, having a 150 more pounds hanging off the transom with a 400R compared to a 300R will impact CG and engine height.

bep078, congrats on the podium finish.

Do you know anything on how this combination ran?
