Hi!
The latest quote for SV27 on another forum is USD 35,000. The boat takes 1,5 months to build. The price is for a basic hull and deck. For meg its even better to buy in USD due to change rates in Norway.

Hi!
I do not know. I only know they have been around for many years, and done lots of offshore racing. The fit and finish looks great. I am travelling to Malta i March, and I will look inside out then

HI!
The grey SV27 with a white 400R delivered to South Africa. Personally I would prefer a black engine. But a nice one though

You have to see this boat in person to really appreciate the workmanship. The quality is second to none. The paintwork and exterior finish is comparable to that of an expensive Supercar! Chaudron uses a traditional hand lay up process of isophtalic resin, e glass and foam cores the stringers. This is how all their race boats have been constructed and never had any structural failure. Since here in Malta, we have very rough seas, our boats are built strong, tough and durable. The white one with the 400R has been plagued with steering issues. (the Verado steering is no good in these high speed single outboard boats where high engine heights are required) They changed the helm ans steering system with no luck. The driver has to turn the wheel constantly when at WOT just to keep to boat running straight. They are now waiting on a side ram steering system then I'm sure they will be able to attain higher speeds. The red one with the twin 200XS ROS has been in the water only twice so I'm sure it will only get faster as more setup changes and testing is done. Another one is being built and will be rigged with a single 300XS. Will keep you updated.

Just a quick update on the Chaudron SV27. One with a 300XS has just been completed. On the first run, she maxed out at 85 mph with a light load. I'm sure there could be an extra mile or two with some setup work. Boat weighs 3000 lbs excluding gas.

Issues on the 400R steering still persist. They are working on a side ram system for the 400R. Not sure about prop height but it was noted that a difference in prop height of about 2 inches equates to 8 mph speed difference. Seems that the 400R's lower unit needs to be surfaced to perform.

Hi!
Thanks. Yes, I have been told the lower unit need to be surfaced. If I am correct Chaudron uses a straight skeg on their 400R boat. Maybe that causes too much torque on the steering pump and helm? I will receive my 400R with Sportmaster soon for my Phantom 25. I have ordered with a cambered skeg. Hopefully the steering will be precise enough..
Thanks for your info!
One day I will buy a SV27 Fantastic boat.
