Thanks for sharing this last set. The Champion Hot Rods bring back some fond memories of the races I was in. I ran a B stock motor on a Pabst 9' hydro (built in Milwaukee). Before I owned the boat it was on a Boy's Life magazine cover back in the '60's, numbered G-13.

Mark Suter's collection
Mark has recently donated the entire collection to the Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham AL. It could take a while to catalog and transfer everything but what an honorable jesture on his part to share this with the world! I recently saw him at the Constantine AOMCI meet - a wonderful man!

I know Mark and Elaine are aging, but hopefully most of it is still there for the october aomci meet and I can finish some photographs. To say it is an impressive collection is a huge huge understatement...and yes they are wonderful wonderful people.

It disappoints me that this couldn't stay in Michigan and go on display at the Henry Ford museum.

Have to agree it would be better to stay in Michigan, but don't think the H F Museum would have enough interest. Its changed out so much of it pieces over the decades, you never know where it would end up. Too much of the o/b collection not "Detroit" centered, which is what they prefer.
