You are both correct. The photo I posted below is a Super Strangler KR-15 mid and yes they did have the 1" lift from the factory. The Stinger GP was the same motor. The person the original poster might want to contact is John Tiger as he has a ton of knowledge on these old motors which were pretty darn innovative.

And here is a side by side of the clean KR-15 alongside the original posters (kelley21) unit to compare.

I see the swivel is hanging from brackets on the inside.
Is that how all the kr's were done?

There are guys here who know a LOT more about these than I do so I suspect that someone will chime in and explain.

Johnson 115 Stnger
I first saw how much advantage the power trim made when Mercury supplied Molinari for the 1969 Paris 6hr race with a 1250 SBP engine fitted with power trim He went on to win the race so in Europe the first factory Stinger engines had the powerlift and power trim in 1970 but the customer version didn't it also ran the power head with a much lower compression ratio and cost £1250 pounds at that time about the same cost as a large ford luxury saloon in the UK.

The exhaust housing and adapter plus swivel bracket are definitely from a KR-15m (Super Strangler/Stinger GP). The stern brackets are from a stock (consumer model) V4 or three-cylinder from 1973-1977. Someone married them together, but they sure don't go together. Those stern brackets will not provide the lateral support that the swivel bracket from the KR needs.

You've hit the definition of rare and hard to get. Be prepared to settle in for a couple years finding them.
