Check your connections at the motor and at the dash....Are the info pages showing the diff pages? Can you scroll the menu? Ragu, New 175XS optis are said to have near 190hp at the prop. They do run good for a 175, several of my buds run them hard with no problems....On a 20' flats boat one guy I know is getting 5mpg with a real good prop. Prob be my next motor..

I wonder if anyone went from a 200 carb to the 175 pro xs? If it would perform the same it would be a great motor for my HST. Got my hst to 84mph but has lots of more potential. Should do 90.
Do you have lwp or standard case?

Friend with a 20' flats boat went from a 200 2.5 to a 175 XS and didn't lose more than a couple of mph. The XS 175 is a good mid size performance motor. Any 2.5 lower you want on it works.

its either a tach grounding problem with the analog side OR its a cable connection issue

also the pro xs 175 is 185-192 HP as allowed by EPA the people around here taking 200 carb motors off of 42 mph boats see within 1 mph or less difference on a jet application or 3 mph on a prop application... about what one would expect losing 200 RPM prop for prop from 5900 to 5700ish.. ive seen 1 boat run BIG numbers but set up was IDEAL and that motor was VERY VERY strong (stronger than his 200 we took off) great motor and a few things will make it the GEN 1 200XS or 210 hp.. to do 240 you need the big 5 petal 240/2.5XS front half and different heads and port work and 6800 RPM limiter
