I've been making all the interior patterns for the last week. It is all made with Penski board, also known as Coosa. It's very light, waterproof, and fiberglass reinforced. The back seat will be trimmed after we figure out the size of the headrests. The rear deck will have a large sunpad on it. I cut the back 9 inches off and am glassing it permanently to the hull so I will have a flat area to attach the rigging hoses and steering lines to. I also glassed the entire dash so I can redesign it with a 10" GPS Chartplotter and other cool stuff.

Randy, just FYI Coosa and Penske board are made by two different companies. I have tested and a lot of other Composite facilities have tested both and Coosa is more superior to the Penske board. Unfortunately Coosa cost a lot more to. Just thought you would want to know for the future.

I went and picked up the TUFF 28 today at PPI interiors. They have it all done in foam and will start upholstering it next week. I picked it up to take it to get a custom trailer built for it. Here are some pics of the interior done in foam

Could the Cockpit be made larger by shortening the rear hatch? Or is there constraints back there?

Tend to agree. Unless that rear hatch is intended to lay out in the sun or there's some constraint, I'd make it half the size and get some leg room for the bench seat occupants in a 28 foot boat.

There is a support that runs from side to side that is built into the top cap. You can't really cut it out or you would lose support. There will be tons of storage under the back as I made the floor flat. Also there is a very large rear Sundeck

I went to check out my new trailer getting built. They are waiting on the fenders. It has six bunks, is all welded aluminum, 8" C-channel, stainless disc brakes, LED lighting, reverse lights, Polished stainless steel fenders, mag wheels with spare tire, and 10,000 lb capacity.

I made the rear area of the boat completely flat for use as a storage area. I also put filler on the knees and the transom to make them smooth for paint. The transom was already very strong, but we beefed up the knees and transom anyway. Tomorrow, I will paint it gray Awlgrip along with the cockpit floor and cuddy. The 4th pic shows the removable panel that will make the entire rear area flat. It's removable so I can get the the bilge pump, depth transducer and hull aeration hoses and vent that will aerate the pad.
