I was just teasing, know that Florida is pretty much flat. Still looks so small with that long boat following it.

Well today I finally really got to try out the TUFF, I've taken her out once before on the St.Lucie river with a buddy of mine to get the feel for her and she ran 93 with 3/4 tank and a cooler, getting used to the Two Strokes again, the attitude of the boat with trim & the Porta Bracket which is easy to get a bit to high when one is to eager to get the last bit of rpm's and then oh sh..t you notice your H2o pressure is a bit to low. But today was just awesome, had a full main tank (60gal) half aux tank (10 gal) and full cooler, with 4 of us on board we proceeded to out through the Boynton Inlet, seas were 3' with 3 sec period with occasional 4 footers, winds from S-SE at 15. We ran in all directions heading out 30 miles into the Gulfstream and i must say I'm impressed and ecstatic what a great wave crusher for these seas, we cruised at various speeds from 35 mph to 55 mph, i think i saw 60 a few times The TUFF felt so very solid, not a creek or cracking or straining noise just one solid thump after another with many airborne wave to wave prop clearing jumps, simply spectacular Took waves from front, sides and rear quarters to see how she handles and how wet we would get, no disappointments there either, with the Porta Bracket's lift envelope and engine trim I can hold the bow were I want to accommodate a comfortable cruise, better said, our 50 mph wave to wave jumping YEAH!!! On our way back we cruised NW towards the Palm Beach Inlet and went around Peanut Island then South on the Intercostal were in some open areas we had a 2' chop with winds still from the S-SE at 15, we went WFOT all the way back to were we put in, Harvey Oyer Park, only slowing for the bridges. Best speed i managed & held was 90 mph, awesome boat awesome rigging.

Looking forward to it, to seeing everybody in Paltka that is . I've been trying to hook up with Jupiter Pulsare a few times but our schedules wouldn't jive, yesterday would have been great to have him along side with his 28 Checkmate, some great videos would have been produced. One of these days we'll make it happen.

So why is the 24 a true 24' 9" vs the 28'4" so much faster?

I understand it's a little narrower but and lower profile

has to be more to the equation?

Both of them have the big "notch" in the keel. 28's notch is below. Looks like it might be a couple of feet.

The Tuff 28 is A LOT bigger boat, the 24 is the latest generation design. Mark is always evolving. The 24 is the best SOB on the market. Even though is is omitted from Greg’s list....
