    New Apache 41 & 47?

I apologize if this was answered already, but all I could find was an old thread on offshoreonly where Bob S chimed in and gave a history on the split between him and what became McManus's company. Not a lot of info on what's currently going on with the companies.

Question is, is he making any new 41 or 47's? This came about because I was watching the owner of the Spirit of Apache talk about how his is the first new build since 92 or so, but on a forum (forgot which one) people were tracking the whereabouts of old Apaches, and apparently, even Spirit of Apache was a rebuild from an existing hull. Seems like McManus is still refurbing the big Apaches, but I am curious if there's just not any demand for a new one, or if the molds no longer exist? Or something else?

    Thanks!

bobby s built two 41 apaches now called chief powerboats the first was to compete in england cowes torque sp?... its a beast with only 700s and arnesons it runs 110 or better. won one leg of the race had electrical issues in another leg or would probably have won the whole deal.

there is a sister boat, new un used with 700s i think and 6s for sale in the oso classifieds... vacuum bagged epoxy im pretty sure steps... super high quality boats when compared to the resin bucket first gen apaches. cnc cut plug really sweet.

the build thread for the first boat with the arnesons is on oso... its worth the read... bobby knows his chit and the rigging is top notch too...
the race boat is called warpath and was painted by the same woman that painted the original warpath back in the day. rm

The Chiefs were not Apache molds. They had a unique vented Step bottom. In fact, Checkmate built a boat from the same molds and called it the 43' Punisher!
