New member looking for help with 250 pro xs's

    Moved this from tech section

So I joined this site after seeing the knowledge that's on here. My situation is this: I bought a 2004 Donzi 38zsf in June which has trip 250 pro xs's. I've researched the engines and have a basic understanding of they're operating principals. The current issue is that the starboard engine seems to lose prime. It starts right up but after a few seconds dies out. I need to advance the throttle to a fast idle and after it warms up it's fine till it cools back down. I changed the primer bulb but no difference. Could it be that one of the diaphragm's is bad -- Thank Rich

To answer your question, could the diaphragm be bad? Yes. have the pressures checked when starting cold and after warmed up. Might be the culprit. Rust and goop in it can give a crappy idle till warmed up and they function correctly. Happened on my opti....Mr. Demeanor gave a good go thru on the opti fuel rail system and pointed out this problem and how to fix it.
