we will have to wait awhile for water testing and owner results. i have the 2nd one out the mold for delivery next april/may. this is specifically designed for outboards and can accommodate a 20" lower as opposed to the 29 requiring a 25". i am hoping it performs as well as the speedster which it should depending on weight and setup.

today, it is only a plug waiting for a mold.

it will need a notch in the transom since this is 85% an outboard model. may not show from the photos or renderings. has to be able to use the 20" shaft. maybe merc will bump the power to 425hp by the time this boat is ready early next year.

Getting closer to the mold. I was told that there will not be a notch like there is on the 29. When they retooled the deck, they did not remove the bottom notch on the 29 although other models showed better performance w/o notch. Adds a small length to the bottom of the 28 which is new. I guess this could be viewed as an enhancement as opposed to an entirely new mold, which reduces the likelihood of problems.
