Cosmetically they are the same. This is just the new and improved version. We have fixed all the finishing and fitment problems the originals were know to have

Any chance you have a NON X style 15 can in the works ? As in a option for the rest of us that don't like the look of the 300 x mid ? Im about to get pair cut down and would buy new but definitely dislike the look of the 300 x mid and the fit of the lower 300 xs pans to your mid

does the new oem 15 inch swivel from merc have setback built in ? I guess you have to shorten the ram yourself or is the 15 inch ram avail? Are the 15 inch swivel from merc avail?

yes, the 15" swivel brackets are still avaliable from mercury and they do have 2" of setback built in so the long ram clears the front of the gearcase. We are in the process of cutting the swivels out of solid billet. If you wanted to shorten a 20/25/30" offshore bracket you would need to cut the ram to clear the gearcase.

cost to complete
Todd you mentioned in an earlier post about putting together a kit for this. Have you done any more with that? How can I get a final cost on this to the point it would be ready to use? I have been thinking about a project boat and I would sure rather use a 3L engine. Let me know please.
