I remember flying over some boat wakes (when young) and I let off the throttle before hurtling over the next batch of wakes.
And my dad watching from shore, asked me later, why did you back-off. I said the fiberglass boat sounded like it was going to crack open.
And he told me with his experiences it would not. I was young and inexperience, I did not know.

And when you are young, you do not think about back troubles.
