Are u thinking of the black rubber "bushing" that sits inside the water pump housing that the water tube goes into. {It sits below the guide tube} These can be bought separately.

I got the part today, I dont think its the right one, is there a plastic (black bushing) that slides under the dip tube where my finger is pointing? this is the part I got, it dosent go over 1/2 in copper tube, im pretty sure the part I lost slid down the copper pipe into white dip tube, but I could be wrong?

If you are speaking of the black piece at the adapter end of the tube there is one at each end. Remove the plastic guide tube and insert into water pump housing. Make sure there is not one already there as they usually don't just fall out. Tube should not go thru "bushing". It is tapered and will fit snuggly on tube. Apply a little lube before assembly.

I do have the rubber adapter piece under the guide tube at pump housing, but does one also go at the end of copper when it gets raised back into mid section? I stuck it on the end for viewing purposes, I just could have swore I lost a small black bushing or something when I lowered it, but havent found anything

Was it the soft rubber ring on the driveshaft? Maybe it split and flew away.

The same black bushing goes on both ends. One helps seal at power head and the other seals at the water pump end. yes there is one below the guide tube. Same part. Ask rock, hes the man.
