    1974 Hydrostream Vixen

I started this project last year for a guy that I worked with , he ended up leaving the company . I decided to continue the build and give the boat to my youngest daughter . Just got it back from paint so it is curing in the sun for a week before I start putting all the new stuff on .

The "Before" shots . Wife said : "It's ugly , get rid of it ...."

The colors are White , Teal , light Blue w/ metal flake over all .
The camera really does not do justice for the rainbow metal flake .

Next week , I'll start the re-assembly and have some more photos .

I would like to hear from the other guys with Vixens , there are a couple of fellas on this site with them .

Good job Dad. Very lucky daughter but did you stop to think about all the young boys that would kill for a shot at that. I'm talkin the boat here. Nothing better for great memories for the kid. Boat looks real good.

The boat looks great! It should run well with that motor too. Just one thing I change, that cleat needs to be a pop up

Before I started the disassembly , I put that 20hp on and took down to the lake .
Thing ran 30mph/gps with my 200lb. arse and no tweaking ... That's why I kept it and went on with the rebuild .

I had thought about leaving off the cleats in the front for a cleaner look , but I only recessed the horns instead .

The motor and controls are on and adjusted .
Horns are cut in and installed .
Fuse block w/ neg. bus installed and wired to the switch panel .

Then the wife hit a possum , tore up the CV boot on the Volvo . So when I'm done with that I can get back to the boat .

    Steve
