Drive shaft and how far its seated into the crank.

I would like to lower my motor about 1/4". I am on the ragged edge and there is no way to lower my motor without cutting the transom. I would really hate to do that to find out I didnt like the results.
The lower unit I am running is 2-1/4" shorter than a standard lower unit. It made my 15" motor a 13-3/4" motor which is cool except I have zero clearance to lower it a little.

I would like to make a spacer to go between the lower unit and mid section. This would reduce how far my drive shaft seats into the bottom of the crank by 1/4".
Assuming its fully seated now, do you think that would be a problem?

I know I would have to extend the water tube and I think the shift shaft has enough meat to be okay.

It won't make any difference. Plenty strong for that lil boat and motor.

A 1/4 '' i dont think miss budwierser worrys about a 1/4 '' lol and i thought i i was bad youll loose about 25% of spline contact on shaft, better check your insurance policies doin 100! Art

You should be able to just cut your own out of some 1/4" aluminum plate. If you're good with a cutoff wheel, flap disc, and drill press, it's easy as pie.
