Angry Dual temp gauges issue OR engine Issue

    Good day to all,

I installed two temp gauges on this 3.0L V6 engine last year but did not have a chance to really see how they behaves.

Now yesterday, I went for a gentle ride about 3500 rpm and notices that theright head keep itself at 150* and the left one is slightly warmer under all conditions.

Is it prone to tell me that the jetting might be too lean on this side thus keeping the heads warmer ?? or is it something else. water flow and pressure is good ( 7psi all the time )

On that engine which bank is higher? Assuming the sensors are in the exact same place, usually the higher placed bank is a little hotter. On most engines I've had that's the starboard bank but never studied what you've got there.

Slightly different is kinda normal, something as simple as a difference in the sensors, gauges, or wiring will give you 5 degrees - nevermind a difference in thermostats or something else on the engine. If you are concerned you could start swapping things around and see what you find, and/or use a temp gun to take a consistent reading.

I had twin engines w/ analog sensors in each bank for awhile (ie 4 gauges to watch and drive you nuts) and eventually what I learned was they never run at the same temp but when you start seeing a larger difference it's time to check.

    Good day,

I measured the lenght of both wire because they are the same lenght, Both sensors were measured with the same water temp to make sure I was not gonna guess but I still do.

Swapped the meters and sensors, still port side is warmer

Through the years I've found that few gauges read exactly alike. Switch the sending units on the gauges and see what they read!
Most gauges are nothing other than Smart Idiot Lights!

I've swapped the gauge4s and/or the sending unit and the readings remain the same. the port head is warmer than the starboard side
