Exclamation Here it is - New Spinelli DR-4

I intended to have this for the River Ranch, however UPS was delayed and it arrived too late. This Spinelli DR-4 is beautiful, as we all remember Spinelli propellers always were. This particular DR-4 was custom made for us to test, so I will be bringing this little gem along with me to the next events, as well as arranging some prop test events as well. It is a 14.5 x 32-pitch, 19-spline (large prop shaft) and primarily designed for lighter tunnel hulls.

I may set up a small test event locally soon, so I will post details about it soon. I am also thinking about possibly getting a cleaver as well.

Nice looking prop. Trying to place where I have seen that blade cross-section before?

I have one just like it on my 2.5 small shaft on my euro. I spin it 7000 – 7500 I love it great all around prop took all the vibration out of the boat . Great bottom end and still pushes the boat well

I used to have one. Great propeller. Pretty, too.

Drag style, i.e. not a lot of bow lift.

Only weakness was a a lot of crabbing / steering wheel torque. Gear case was not very straight, which must have been a source of inefficiency.

Is this the exact same geometry as the DR4's from 10 or 15 years ago?

The problem with the SRX was that it sucked until DAH modified it.

Greg, the new prop looks sweet! Very nice finish. I have a couple old ones and they are fast and smooth running wheels. A little tweaking and they can hold the bow of my challenger just right and make them one of my smoothest and fastest wheels.

I think in a 15" dia. they might even run better on the SOB'S and rougher waters.

Can you post pictures of the shop? Always wonder what goes into making a prop?
