I get it and thanks again for the help! I also agree about having sealed fittings on anything going thru your deck or lid running in salt water. Having water especially salt water wash down your, pumps, wiring, batteries etc in your bilge or inside your boat is not a good thing.....JMPO
BTW, You bought yourself 2 very nice and unique boats......

I look for good looking boats like everybody else, but I also look at how they are rigged and wired.

The attention to detail and very clean rigging like you have done makes it really easy to spot a leak if you get one and fix it. Your wiring is clean and you don't have to dig through a bird's nest to find a short or a disconnected plug. That is what I look for most.

Like on my Shadow and on Jimmy's twin velocity with the screaming ROS's on them. They put relays on them that cut ignition when an overheat and other problems are detected by the engine ecu because you cannot hear the horn Mercury puts on them. Chris has two power disconnects on the Shadow to isolate the engine and dash electrical systems in case of a short. That is the kind of stuff I want on my boats.

You rigged yours to make it very easy to discover and diagnose a problem and FIX it ASAP not just to look good. You also are protecting the trim pumps all the hoses and fittings from salt water from the splashwell. Wiring is all chafe protected and high and tight back there. To me that is what makes a boat, not just how it looks or how fast it goes. That is what I am pointing out in your thread. I like boats that look good go fast and are setup and wired/plumbed to LAST and be easy to maintain in tip top shape. I also like how you mounted your batteries and plug in battery maintainer up front to help CG the boat as well as keep them clean and dry. My Shadow is basically the same way and has a new maintainer for AGM batteries and two new Optima's in it we just put in.

I will shut up now but I think I got the point across.

My apologies. I now understand what you guys have in common, I just get tired of hearing that statement from tire kickers on a lot of the "for sale" posts. I will go extract my foot from mouth now. GLWS.

No worries man. I get what you are saying as well. The two different meanings of that statement. Believe me, I had so many tire kickers on my Cougar for sale thread and one guy who knew so much more about it than I did it was ridiculous. I priced it fairly and it moved. I bet this boat will as well now that it is getting warmer slooooowwwwlllllyyyyy in a lot of the eastern US. GLWTS Tony!!

[B]Good Luck w/ Selling your Rallye Sport Tony![B] You did a flawless job of rigging, with great attention to detail. I wish I was 20yrs younger, and still had my health, because you guys are making me drool over my computer. I used to rig, setup and run the $hit out of mine and other guy's OB's. It's so good to see that tradition still being carried out by the people here on S'nFly! Hi-Perf boating is still an area where you still find the "Backyard Mechanics" generally have the fastest and nicest rigs, and are not available as "store bought". I was wondering Tony, have you done much water testing after putting on the 15"mids.? I'm curious to see how it runs and handles.

I know I love your Shadow Chris. Always draws a crowd at the boat ramp, that's for sure.

Heck, I have a nice new circular saw that will make some nice custom cuts..... Only problem you will need to strap the kids down up there though....

Chris, so true, great place here and I think many of us wish we were younger...
I'm sure we will take this speed stuff to our grave.

First thing, thanks to you & DonM it made this project and setup much easier on me!

Yes, I did a quick test and what I immediately found was the boat planted much quicker and the chime walk was minimal.

Just a bit of info below that may help others considering a similar project:
After running with 20" motors on my particular setup I knew it was not right and the motors where way too deep, actually I feel this is what has given these twin engine boats a bad rap on handling.
A- The motors are too deep with 20"
B- If you go up with 20" the power heads IMPO are too high for handling.
After our last conversation and pics you sent me plus having been around these boats for while it confirmed I needed 15" on my setup, LU's needed to go up.
In my particular case the way I had things setup power heads would stay exactly where they were and the only thing that would change was the lower unit height which was what I wanted and needed.
I never wanted my power heads 10 to 12" above the rub rail. Now the pans are approx 3" above rail. Force of habit to trim up before coming off plane regardless.

This is my current setup height, bullets are basically even with notch and first strake.

Some have asked about any corrosion on or around motors, hope these help.
NOTE: These pics were taken thru holes in shrink wrap!
Will get better pictures after I remove wrap when I get back from FL!
PS; I welcome and would prefer a serious buyer to come see it in person.

Tony I only find one problem with this 21' build.........everything is so very clean a new owner might just not want to put it in the water and get any dirt/ grime on it !
