Propshaft centerline 1"-2" below pad good start point, 24"-26"chopper or srx 23"-25" both good props depends on the work been done to each...one may be better than the other because of the particular work done to each ...no way to know until u try it.
u only got 150 hp if its fresh..... Prob more like 140hp at the prop..... Dont expect much more than 65-70mph.

I have a Charger STV(Canadian build from original molds) which is heavier then an LTV. I am running a 200 2.4 efi with a 5 inch setback. I generally am running prop shaft equal to the bottom of the pad . I may bump it up a bit (no more then an inch above ) but find my boat likes it even. I find trimming down after your going really made the best difference in speed. I just watched the rooster.

Did you ever figure out what needed to be done to help planning better? I'd love to know I'm having the same problem

I wedged a kick ball inside my manual jack plate... Keeps it from scouping when getting on plane and lessens the plunge some when coming off.

Most every single boat out there is going to have usually a lot of slip when planing out with a STOCK chopper prop..
Every single chopper prop that I have run and enjoyed had been to a prop shop and had cup added to the trailing edge of the blades and I believe a little bit of cup at the tips of the blades as well. These props would LAUNCH the boat out of the water and land on plane with AWESOME acceleration!!
