I'm kinda partial to my 1977 Cobra Phantom. I got it in rough shape and fished out of it for a little over a year. Took it off trailer and spent about 6 months redoing everything; new wire, hydraulic steering, new custom console with gauges, BAD A$$ shifter compliments of Brent (Rowboat) and a James Perry 2.5 200 with some tinkering and goodies from Chris Carson.
I love boats, bass boats, drag boats, pleasure boats anything with an outboard to be honest. I really love the old wooden boats but I don't know much about them.
Hire the handicapped, we're fun to watch

Old boats that I had in the past and loved:
1981 18ft skater with a 235 Johnson (thank god that my dad picked up the fuel tabs)
1989 STV Pro Comp (first brand new boat) and ran the heck out it until I upgraded to my 92 Pro Comp W/260
Old Whalers 89' 25 Temptation, 84' 22 outrage, 86' 20 outrage
Several old inboards-Ski-Tique, Mustang 17, 2-Nautiques, Century ski fury, Century Arabian, and a master craft stars and stripes--all good memory makers.
Old boats that I have now:
88' whaler 17' Montauk
88' whaler 15' Sport with the Doug Wright touch
all of my others are old, but don't qualify for "pre-1990"

I love the look years ago when I saw a few pic's just never thought I would ever see one for sale in Utah. I jumped on this one only to find out it was going to be a bigger project than i had planned....Oh, Well such is life with old boats. I have 5 gallons of gel, 2 gallons of Neutral Gel/pigment for the Fighting Lady Yellow
and a big bag of .015-.025 flake.

My favorite will likely always be the Switzer Shooting Star I had back in the 70's. Very fast in its day and a ton of fun. Sorry - can't figure out how to rotate the image.
