1995 Talon with twin 280's Diamond built to 335 hp
I am selling this based off of the information that was provided to me from the previous owner and what I found on S&F. From what I know there are a lot of Talons out there that claim to have come from the factory built as a twin. This boat 100% came from the factory as a twins and I verified that with Gary Armington.
I bought the boat last fall (2015) from Brad in Canada and had it delivered to me. I have had it out twice since owning it. On the GPS speedo we saw 120 the first day out and 129 with bigger props (borrowed) and the motors jacked. This is what the GPS showed, not radar verified.
The boat is 1995 Talon with twin 2.5 EFI 280's on 15" offshore mids with newer Sportsmaster 1.87 with fat shafts. Marty at Diamond Marine built to 335 hp with top pin pistons. I was told they were dyno'd at that. I have not put a DDT tester on the powerheads to check the hours, as I sold my DDT in another deal and have not replaced it yet. The interior was completely redone in 2009.
The boat is all original gelcoat, no paint anywhere. It has two aluminum 24 gallon fuel tanks, all gauges are newer Livorsi, GPS Speedo/w recall, hydraulic steering, 14.5 x 32 Mazco props come with it and I have a set of brand new Mercury 15 x 32's for $1500 additional. I have only pulled a compression and it is all within 5 lbs at 145 lbs. I have not leaked it down and will leak it down with a potential buyer standing there. I would rather a serious buyer come inspect the motors themselves, so there is no issues. For the short time I have had the boat it has been kept in a climate controlled environment. There are no transom issues and I do not see anything the boat needs. It has the normal little stress cracks in the front corners of the inside of the sponsons. The starboard side has a crack where they hit the dock at one time (I am guessing.) There is a small crack at the back on the deck where a lot of them crack around the curve part of the transom. All of these are in the gel coat only. It comes with a tandem axle trailer that I was told was powder coated recently.
I bought the boat to see how a hopped up Talon with twins runs since I build them now. I am asking what I paid for it $42,500.

I can reference for Todd. I bought my Cougar 22 MTR from him and it was exactly as described if not better than described. It was a no hassle and easy deal. Thanks Todd.
One of these days I will own one of Todd's Talon 22 XL boats with a 300XS on it for the weekends to keep quiet and drive my Shadow with twin 260's on it during the week when being loud is not an issue.

I ran with this boat last summer at West Lake it is ridiculously fast , it does 45 to 50mph throttle wheelies like I have never seen and the twins sound sick at full throttle. GLWS
