Help identifying this powerhead
Can any of the Gurus help me identify this merc.
There is a bit of a story behind it. Last year after my '95 xri 175hp blew I dropped this powerhead on to finish the season but this thing has very little power. I was told that it was a 150. Not sure of year or size (2.0 2.4 2.5). I trying to figure out if I can make this work or if I need a different drop on. Thanks in advanced.

its a vertical front mota , good for there size its not a 2.5 by any stretch if its on a champion it not enough cubes, and welcome to Scream and fly

Tex. Thank you for the info. Your correct 186sc champion. So it looks like I will be looking for a 2.5 powerhead. Hopefully I can find one with all the electronics I'm afraid that I may have damaged the existing ones.

yes they are quite different your 2.0 has a16amp charge system the 2.5 most have 40amp stuff which is good for bass fisherman keeping battery's charged up what is your boat rated for 175 or 200

Rated for its rated for 175 but would no be afraid to put extra on her. I fish Lake Erie a lot and a little extra power sure wouldn't hurt. BTW I'm learning a bunch here lots of stuff I never knew.
