Anyone with a shadow 200vt running 90+?
Hey guys,
Been a lurker for many years. Guy a know in the rc boat world turned me on to the site. Now I finally have a boat to start with. Picked up an 86 shadow. Needs some work. Needs transom and knees replaced for sure. What i can get to on the stringers feels solid. Gonna take the cap off and check them all out. I know these boats were supposed to be somewhere around 1k so I'm going to try and put her on a diet. I have no others to compare it to but i build custom flats skiffs and we do a pretty light lay up, this seems lighter than what we do. Anyhow, was just curious if anyone was running in the 90's with theirs. I plan on building a new cap and running a low profile center console as a flats boat.

Rgsauger on here did a good write up on his when he rebuilt it.
We are still working on set up so its not in the 90's yet be we plan to be.
There re are some 90+ shadows on here.
You will need a low water pick up LU for sure if you don't have is already.

It has a rude 175 on it. That's gonna find a new home. Looking into a 250 pro xs that a buddy has. It will newd lwp as well. Just don't see the point in putting that money into the 79 175 lol

I think I'd rather have a promax on that hull than a heavy 3l. But that's just me
