I have an old Powerboat Magazine somewhere with a test of a 30 with twin 2.4 200s transom mounted that ran over 70. I agree it would be a great recreational boat with a pair of 3.2s on a bracket.

With the weight shifted forward of the tanks, along with the batt's in the cabin it should be fine. My twin big block flies straight, and will only get a little flighty when the drives are trimmed to the moon and neutral tabs. Even then, a little negative tab and it settles down fine.

I think 85-90 is definitely attainable, and it will depend heavily on setup to be north of there. This is also a pre-Regal boat (I believe) which is a little different from my hull in the pad area and is a little faster. With 830 hp, mine runs just north of 80, but it's also a full pleasure boat layup.

The Still Crazy boat that was done a few years back has run 94 or so with a set of HP500's in the boat. However, they run a really aggressive X-dimension, and this was a previous world record holding boat, and I'm sure had plenty of bottom work when it was re-habbed.

Nick and I talked at the beginning of his project, and I've been watching it closely. Can't wait to see it run when it's complete.

They're in Tampa collecting dust. New owners already shut the doors and moved molds to their shop in Tampa. As of now, Velocity is no more.

No. Contact info only and ad may have been delayed enough to be as Zeimer said.

You might be the right guy for them though if still for sale. Stupid money last I heard.
Im out of town now but will try and find the info and will forward to you when I get back in town.

I also think this boat will not be well balanced with triple 3.0L for power. Even my 36 Talon with triple 300X gets light in the front in rough water. The Talon has a ballast tank up front that is used to keep it civilized. The P3 class is really tough class with 40' boats and big block motors to run against. I think a twin o/b would be a nice setup and keep it a pleasure boat.
