    2000 Promax 225 for sale

I have 2000 Promax 225 for sale that is literally a new engine. In April of 2013 I had a bad experience with a dirty injector and damaged the piston in the 4 hole on a fresh rebuild with less than 50 hours...I wasn't happy to say the least. After searches and calls mercury came through with a Brand new power head...not a reman/rebuilt...I wanted a factory new, never seen gas/oil power head...it was costly but well worth it.

I had everything that could be suspect replaced new; oil pump, stator, coils, wires, voltage regulators, etc. I also had the injectors rebuilt and flow tested as well as the ECU mapped and checked over.

The new engine was re-installed on the boat in August of 2013, since then I have put less than 40 hours on the engine...only took the boat out twice last year. I have it installed on a Ranger boat so it's not been raced or abused.

I has the torquemaster lower with the fat shaft; I had the lower painted...but as normal it doesn't stick well and is starting to revert back to its original finish. Due to the paint on the lower peeling, Cosmetically I'll give the motor a 8.75 on a scale of 1 to 10...but I'm picky. Performance and under the cowl fit and finish is 100%.

This is a rare opportunity and you wont be disappointed.

I also have the 1st power head that needs the 4 hole repaired I can send pics as well if need. This motor cold easily be parted out if repair was not desired...heads, block, crank, etc as these are undamaged. Just a piston with withered edges I'd like to sell both together.

8500.00 will get you a new promax and the old power head.

Sorry for the delayed response...been out for a while. I would sell the old long block separately; it was bored on the previous build. All other cylinders held 130lbs compression. I have attached a couple of pics of the old block as well.

    Thanks for asking
