The 2016 Switzercraft Reunion Regatta

Hi everyone, the 2016 Switzercraft Reunion Regatta will be on Saturday July 16 at the Big Basin Marina in Channahon Illinois, about 50 miles south of Chicago and along the Illinois Waterway.

ALL BOATS AND BOATERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US

. Shine them up and show them off. All participants will receive a Regatta coozie (until they are gone) for showing up and our famous chicken will be on the menu. Kids eat free and adults , if you wish, can donate 5 dollars to the pot, eat as much as you wish as long as it lasts. Mugz's Bar on the river at the marina is open for refreshments but remember safe boating should always be alcohol free, have a drink when your done boating... ...Hope to see you there, contact me on facebook or call me at 815 954 6483 for more info. the address for big Basin Marina is 24045 W. I'd like to but no plans this year. And if I did, I KNOW I'd end up towing some Switzer home! Bobby S gonna be there? He's "da man"! Dumb question here , but ya enjoying retirement? HA!

And on the pix ya posted, that old Switzer (first pic) red with white strip, the white TOP, was one and maybe the SAME I first saw as a young kid on Crooked lake close the Fox Chain. Damn, the sound that IL6! . It was across the lake from us. And then my brother had a Baby Switzer 20H then too. Great times!

Yes I am enjoying retirement. Have a part time job I work 2 days a week that pays for boat parts...

So far me good on retirement (22 YEARS May 9th!) and good on boat parts but today is "gas up" day so be broke later, but will have gas!

Yes the launch is the only thing that I have no power over , but the last year cost to launch was 12.00 so I am guessing it's the same or close to for this year.
