I don't recall the twin v-bottom boat. I sure remember the Sabre. I Class at its best.

Fujimo you’re awesome. Where do you get all these pictures? I know where some come from but you cover so much.😉

I recognize the location, Pelican Harbor. The fueling rig makes me think maybe Orange Bowl Regatta 6 or 9 hour race? I am guessing 64 because I was in the Army then.

His mother made that life jacket for Jeff with kapok for floatation.

My wife's cousin Hugh Spencer ran for a couple of years with a Mom made jacket. I ran one of the old Apco jackets until I flipped a boat and it blew apart. The rules were a little looser then.

Can anybody name all of the life jacket makers who have come and gone over the years? I'll start with the ones I know:
    Gentex
    Simpson
    LifeLine
    Security

I just remember Apco,Gentex and Lifeline. While I was racing most wore Gentex with a few Lifelines around. I still have my last Gentex out in the garage. Unfortunately I left it in my hot attic for many years and the foam kind of shrank.

Roy Ridgell in his 1960's life jacket, it looks like a Gentex jacket.

I can't think of any except Stearns who I think is still in business but doesn't produce a race jacket. What I do know about that pictures are the shoes that Roy wore everywhere -
