Look at the date on that one! 73+ in 1960 is amazing.

My son's father in-law grew up on Long Island and was well acquainted with Marcel Raveau. I owned a Raveau for a short time and tested it several times. Unfortunately it was pretty used up and I never got to race it. I recall going to a race at Miami Marine Stadium and seeing the E class start with 11 Raveaus and a MadCap. A year later you couldn't find a Raveau.

It took forever but as a Mercury Field Engineer we finally got a BHB template for our laptops and could do BHB's right while testing with our OEM customers. I have two BHB's I did - one using my son as a driver and one using my wife - good drivers were hard to find sometimes!
I think it was 2005 for the Lund dealer meeting in Alexandria MN I had 24 boats to test and BHB prior to the meeting. The Merc Tech Manager for MN and Dn Simonsen, then retired, made runs and got information while I did photos and finished the bulletins, then down to a local Staples store to get everything printed and laminated in time for the dealer show - 2 AM the day of the show I finally hit the sack - but I had 24 beautiful bulletins in place on the docks the next day. plus DVD's for the dealers to take away.

Damn good question - Sales Dept. took some DVD's so that means they probably fell into the famous Black Hole in FDL. We also did thousands of boat audits - which I have no idea where they went. These were done at the OEM and listed S/N's of hull, engine, and internals like steering, fuel tank mfr., instrumentation, prop, etc. Turned them in X amount a month to get our peanut commission check. These went to someone in Stillwater believe it or not 'cause at that time the field guys at OEM level reported to Stillwater. A make work program - and since most OEM's did not use our part numbers, they meant nothing to them unless someone took the time to convert to their in house numbering system - that didn't happen. Then like one time at model year an OEM of mine started buying fuel tanks from another vendor so everything I had done was out dated.
I don't miss it!
You asked!
